I am far from pleased with my recent poor decision making. We haven't had TV in years, so I thought, "What the heck... why not?" After searching around, I decided to go with Directv. Mistake!
After one episode of problems after another, I ended supposedly breaking what they call "my" commitment- that I never made. I requested their seasonal special rate and ended up with over 4 hours on the phone, a hefty final fee, a monthly bill(at twice the requested amount), charged for my "free" receiver and we are stuck with an ugly-ass eye sore of a satellite dish on the front of the roof (includes roof holes on a brand new roof- free of charge!)
Of course they consider the satellite "sold" to you once your so-called commitment has been made. They absolutely refuse to take the damn thing back! I asked if they were aware of anywhere that I could donate it. Of course not! The whole point is to leave it there so that who ever lives there next will potentially use their services.
It kills me to think of this garbage of a satellite going to fill up the landfills, but it HAS to go! I'm not sure if I'll be able to freecycle it once my husband lovingly takes it down.
Wow, I'll do more thorough research next time. However, next time will not include cable! It's totally unnecessary! It's a waste of time and energy in many forms!
Hoping someone knows what I can do with it...
