I'm really bad about keeping trash until I can find out how to get rid of it as guilt free as possible. Some examples: a drawer full of batteries for those times I wasn't patient enough to use rechargeable ones, a bag full of Styrofoam in the garage ready to be dropped off at the local UPS store, a corner of the garage full of propane tanks from camping and a few piles of other things. Believe it or not, my house is not nasty and I don't live in clutter.
A little over a week ago, I was torn on what to do with some CD cases (still haven't done anything with them.) Interestingly enough, Terry sent me a link to a site, Recycling By Mail at just the right time. Although I had known about such things as the battery and shoe recycling programs, I found it very informative in that it provided exactly who recycles what and how. There are so many random items such as hotel keys that regular curbside recycling doesn't cover... it even helped solve my CD case dilemma!
