Climate activists Rising Tide are apparently trying to change April Fools Day... this led to many arrests. I realize that sometimes it takes outrageous acts to gain public attention to create change, but does blockading businesses really do anything other than piss big business off? Do people really think that they will suddenly say, "I'm sorry. You're right. I'm wrong for making billions in either directly or indirectly contributing to the destruction of our planet... and now I'm willing to lose billions and go under for the sake of our planet." Dream on. Change is slow and has to financially benefit corporations for them to take a stand.
All that said, I still have to give praise for those who are truly taking action and using their voice.
