Pascha

I did some unnecessary consumer evils this weekend while trying to step it up on this year's Easter. This was the first year that we did the whole Easter Bunny, find the eggs thing. (I know, we are rotten parents!:) So, with that came the purchase of a whole bunch of crap-in-a-basket piled upon some grass. As soon as I reached for the $.25 grass, I decided against the petroleum based waste. Then, my sister pointed out an environmental preferred grass for $1.00. Hummm... didn't say "biodegradable," but it was definitely a step in the right direction.

So, I was happy to see that there are options out there, but why sell the original at all? It's irresponsible to buy a mass amount of junk in the first place. And, on an obvious note, focusing on the Easter bunny has taken away from what the holiday is truly about, the day that Christ was resurrected.
