Living Green 101, Post-Thoughts

Although I missed half the show, I have to say that I was pretty impressed with Sheryl Crow's efforts with the "Stop Global Warming Tour." Read more on how she and activist Laurie David are traveling on their tour in an eco-friendly bus!

One thing learned is that you can buy recycled tin foil. So, although I try to stay away from it as much as possible, if I do use it, I'll have more peace of mind. Other than that, much of it was review for me... use cloth bags for shopping, use cloth bags for produce, use non-toxic cleaning products, our over-use of the modern day commodity- napkins, paper waste from junk mail and receipts... the list goes on and on.

The show included information on being wise shopper. Check out the packaging... how many times do you see packaging inside of packaging? It goes with my blog a couple of days ago... try to buy in bulk. Try to buy as little packaging as possible.

I really do enjoy seeing informative shows by such an influential woman. It surprised me how many people didn't know the "right" answer to the question, "Paper or plastic?" Answer: Cloth.

OH... and please stay away from styrofoam!!!
