It's Magic

In my quest for greener possibilities, I have found myself making constant changes. Some are very simple like changing to eco-friendly soaps while others have been more time consuming like switching to cloth diapers. I believe by making a gradual transition to greener living, it will seem more "normal" and less like a headache. Today's world is far to geared towards convenience. The results are usually more waste into our environment. So far it's been a lot of fun learning and discovering even the most simplest of things we can do to live more sustainable lives.

In my 10/16 blog, I mentioned that I was on the hunt for a local store that would refill containers for shampoo & conditioner. Although you may already know of stores where you can refill your shampoos/soaps/conditioners/lotions, I finally discovered that New Seasons is one of those markets! One of my old favorites is Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap. I had no idea that it came in liquid!

I still have one question though. Since I wish to switch to natural and/or organic, biodegradable soaps and lotions, etc... what do I do with the last of the unused not-exactly-green products left in my home? If they aren't specifically labeled "toxic" (which should be properly disposed of,) should I pour remnants down the drain and give away the rest?
