If you are a first time composter, ahem, like me, and live in the Portland metro area, Metro's site gives all the information you need on how and where to get an affordable compost bin. I am throwing the info at you in hopes you will not delay (for years as I have) and start composting ASAP. I'm not putting it off any longer. Tomorrow I will be venturing out for my compost bin.
I honestly can't see any justifiable reason for why anyone living in my area wouldn't take advantage of Metro's program and get an Earth Machine. At $39.99 (an $80 value,) easy assembly, plenty of environmental benefits and the possibility of downsizing your current garbage bin which saves you $$$... who could ask for more???
Really though... should I really be admitting on my 113th green blog that I have never had a compost bin?!!! The subject of composting has been brought up far too many times this week by various people for me to not get the hint. The last happening was this afternoon in a conversation with Jill. Okay Jill, it's about time you take over this blog! :)
