How can I think of anything more imperative than giving focus to the people in China? They are wrapped in morning and in an urgent need of relief. It's overwhelming to think of the pain they have been enduring.
If I were to allow it, my brain could get absorbed with the tragedies that humans face every day in every corner of the planet. Whether it is human violence or an act of nature, it's hard to fully fathom their true experiences. Saving the earth is saving our people, but saving our people doesn't mean saving the earth. Sometimes we need to broaden where we direct our attention.
