Portland Locals...

As I had expected, it seems as though most Earth Day events have passed by over the weekend. This leaves most of the community seemingly "doing their good deed" over the weekend and then forgetting all about "it." The earth isn't going to be fixed in one day, but one day can certainly be impacting both mentally and physically.

If you are into this sort of thing, here is at least one event still to come on Earth Day. OregonLive.com:

What: Orlo Earth Day
(Holiday, Poetry/Spoken Word)
Where: Dragonfly Coffee House
2387 NW Thurman Street, Portland, OR 97210
When/$: Tuesday, Apr 22, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Bear Deluxe Magazine welcomes Portland poets Casey Bush, Dan Raphael and Walt Curtis as they read from the works of Walt Whitman and Robert Frost.
