I know rechargeable batteries have been around for a while, but for some reason it never occurred to me to purchase some. Having a zillion battery operated toys around the house is more than reason enough. For our household, we would make up the money initially spent in no time at all!
There is an overwhelming amount of information to read if you take a look at Metro's Site. Just skim through the list of their, "Waste Reduction Fast Facts: Batteries" and you will be amazed! Just 1 rechargeable battery can replace up to 1,000 single use alkaline batteries!!!
Go to Amazon to check out their battery costs. Note that this particular link does not include the charger... Just for comparison purposes, I checked out Walmart. This includes the charger.
